Mierswa Kluska - About

Studio Mierswa-Kluska, mplusk films

Mierswa-Kluska / mplusk is a photographers’ and directors’ duo based in Munich, founded by Andreas Mierswa and Markus Kluska - specializing in skincare, beauty and luxury products.
They began their careers shooting for leading fashion and beauty magazines, including Madame and Elle in Germany and France, as well as Vogue Accessory and Amica in Italy.
In recent years, they have developed mplusk as a film-focused project, with a strong emphasis on motion control, high-speed cinematography, and experimental product tabletop work.
Drawing on extensive experience across a wide range of capture techniques, their work is defined by a deep understanding of the interplay between film and photography, combined with an experimental mindset and strong technical expertise.

As commercial photographers and directors, they craft out-of-camera projects, hybrid AI workflows, and full CGI productions. Often blending these approaches for international luxury beauty brands such as Clé de Peau Beauté (Shiseido), NUXE Paris, and SK-II Cosmetics into seamless crossmedia-campaigns.
Their background in photography gives them a unique edge in integrated print and TVC campaigns.
Most projects are shot in their Munich studio, some in Paris….

AI Comments & Vision

In recent years, we have produced numerous ads, TVCs, and digital content for the cosmetic and beauty industry.
Through this work, we have gained deep insight into the industry’s expectations, integrated campaigns, and production workflows—including budgets. We are now ready to take the next step and explore how AI can enhance our creative process.
Cosmetics are inherently sensual, and textures are essential. As luxury product and beauty photographers, we believe in shooting individual start frames to carefully control light, material, and product, ensuring realistic and tactile results. We call this approach a hybrid AI workflow, where precision photography and AI converge to elevate the final image.
